I've looked on a bunch of tutorial sites on how to make smooth wall corners using displacement maps. But none of them seem to apply to my situation. What I'm looking for is a way to create a convex wall corner. All the tutorials so far deal with concave curves or using the Clip tool to cut a brush into about a thousand different pieces. Basically, most of the tutorials cover the exact opposite of what I'm looking for. Can anyone help?

Create two intersecting walls like you normally would for a corner. Turn them into displacement maps. Subdivide.

I believe that's how it goes. :)

I tried that. At least... I think I did, and it's not what I wanted.

I drew you a picture of my proble, the required subdivided face is circled in red :)

if you are just doing a hallway wouldnt it be easier to just use a cylinder and carve off 3 quarters of it? a displacement seems like over kill for a hallway to me..

I don't need it specifically for a hallway, I just made a random jpeg to show an example of what I'm trying to do. I'll probably find some other uses for it, but before I can actually start making said curvy corners I really need to know how to do this.

I think the real answer is make a model, the other option is to create a displacement surface and build it into a curve using the "raise to" tool in paint geometry. I'd recommend making it while flat and then rotating and resizing the brush to match your needs.

or the other real answer is making an arch, it might look a little blocky, but if you put in a decent number it looks alright.

It should be doable with displacements. If nothing else it can be done by hand. Depending on what sized corner you have it'll take time. And you'll have to calculate angles first.
