I personaly don't own BF2 and my computer isn't good enough to run it without too much lag over the net, so I haven't bothered. I do play it at a local gaming cafe / warehouse with friends. We are long veterans of BF1: DC while playing with Bots to even out the teams.

Whenever we start to play BF2 we never seem to be able to get the bots working at all, so we just go back to DC or switch to DoD. So now i'm seeking help.

How {using add-ons or whatever} do you get Bots working with BF2 for a LAN type setup?

Well, You could always do what I do, *Although it only works with 16 players..until I find a way of fixing it up with mods..*

Start yourself a BF2 multiplayer server. Have your friend go into the LAN multiplayer server browser, and he'll see your server name, ping, map, etc. Tell him to STAY THERE. Then quit your game, and start a single player game. When it's loaded, tell him to join the server he's looking at. It will join under your single player game. Or you can just connect straight using your IP, if you know it.

I'm sure there are mods out there *Actually I'm 100% sure of it* that make 32 player single player maps...that way put that on both machines, and it should work using my technique.

Could we do that with many players?

It's alot easier in BF1 / DC, quick and filled with bots to over run your checkpoints while you try to hold it with a 10 - 1 ratio and no ammo.

I'd assume as many players as you would want. I think it just kicks a random bot when a human player joins. I'm going to go look for that 32/64 player bot mod.

This one looks promising...still looking though.

Thanks, i wouldn't have known where to look.

The only problem now is getting Ibisq (the gaming place) to load it onto some of the computers.
