Got a nice LCD monitor today but the build in speakers sound like ass like with any other LCD.I Am aware that you can get sound from pc speakers/stereo jack headset by connecting the RCA plugs of the HD VGA cable to a RCA-Stereo Y Adapter then to the PC.
Why is it that i cannot get any sound from a USB headset that's connected to the PC though?

Also, would it be possible to get sound by directly connecting a stereo jack head set to the rca
cables without going through the computers sound card?

As in, VGA RCA cables to Y Adapter to Female Stereo Coupler to Stereo Jack Headset.

for me its the blue output on the back of my PC. then in windows you have to unmute the line-in box

I hope that helped a little.

I know where to connect them to and that it works with PC Speakers and Stereo Jack based Headsets.
I Am currently using a USB Headset for my PC though and can't get any 360 sound output to it.

funny I tried the same thing with a USB sound card a few days ago I couldn't get it to work either. :(

Is your headset just USB? I have a USB headset where you get a green jack and a pink jack which plug into a USB adapter.
