need help!!!

i am stuck in the room where you have to turn on a switch to open the door on the other side, but when you turn on the switch, electricity is running through the water...how do i get to the other side?!? i am so clueless on this right now

Turn the switch off, go get the blue barrel and place it in the water underneath the wobbly/broken pathway. Then turn the switch back on,, go across the wobbly/broken pathway and jump onto that little segment before the electricity box. Then turn right, and navigate your way across the little beams and fences, and then eventually through the little window, and to the door.
