Need Help!

I have an AVI movie that I want to burn on a DVD-R so that I can watch the movie on my DVD-Player. I've tried several programs but on most of them u need to extract the sound and then just encode the video and add the sound later. I need something simple where u can add the AVI and choose to convert it to DVD. I tried WINAVI but it leaves a .vob file thats 4GB big and it wont let me burn in Nero. Does Nero Vision Express encode the video then burn it automatically? I need something simple that will work. Thanks

I use Win DVD Creator, you put any avi or mpeg file into it and add titles, etc and it will encode the whole thing and either make an image on your HD or burn it on to DVD.
Its the only program I have used, though, so can't comment on others.
But it does work, and works well.
I capture video on my camcorder, d/load to HD then put into win DVD and it burns it, sorted!
