Need Help!

I know this may sound like a scam but its not i have brough hl2 when it came out and have only needed the cd to play it for a couple of times but i cant find the CD-case where the CD-key is and i am wanting to reformat my hard drive is there anyone i can contact to get it back?

You only need the CDkey once, buy the game

Once you have registered your cd key ONCE to your steam account you no longer need it. Log back into the steam account you registered the cd key to and you will have the games there ready for you, assuming you have installed/ downloaded the game content files (.gcfs). All you must remeber is your email and your password for your steam account, and you will be fine, no matter how many times you reformat or lose the box with the key on Enjoy your day!
