Hey, first post here though I've been reading for a long time.
I'm doing a case study for School (Yr12) and have to research information on a new piece of software which is under development, so of course, I'm doing mine on HL2. :afro:
The thing is, I need some help with some of the more technical stuff used in Half-Life 2. If you could post some links to articles that help explain this kind of stuff in the context of next-generation games like HL2, that would be a BIG help. I've tried googling but I haven't found much.
Stuff I need articles/explanations of: Shader technology, “normal mapping”, “bump mapping” and HDR. If you have any links handy, I'd appreciate it.
