My dad just bought dod:s but the problem is he doesn't have a dvd drive. Is there anyway he could download it and use the cd key that came with the game? Or could I send him mine through the router and he use his cd key or something?

Thats all he needs. Once steam is downloaded and installed, at the bottom click Activate a product on Steam... Enter the cd-key, and boom, done.
If he doesnt want to download it at capped ISP speeds (500kb/s) You could send him the .gcf files located in the SteamApps folder.
