Need some help

Ok guys im really stuck, im new to the site and have come in search of help. You guys know best so i really hope you can help me with this problem.

Ok, i went on a server and my ping was awful due to a norton anti virus update whilst playing which i didnt know had come on. Anyways it said something like ping violation jeffers. When i left clicked my mouse it auto typed ''im getting the **** out of this server'' in the chat bit. When i right clicked it auto typed '' im getting bitch slapped''

After this i left, i visited another server and the same problem occured. Whenever i play this problem keeps happening so someone has done something.

Im fairly new to the game so i have no idea whats happened here or how to get rid of it. Some one please help me! Im begging

Probably some twat admin messing with your config. Just delete it and it will make another default one, or open it up in text edit and fix it.

Have configs as read only as well so it wont happen again.

Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\YOURACCOUNTNAME\half-life 2 deathmatch\hl2mp\cfg

The config file is in there. Delete it, close steam, open steam, it will create a new one!

find the config flie.. Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\YOURACCOUNTNAME\half-life 2 deathmatch\hl2mp\cfg\config.cfg

Right click it, go properties, and set it to read only.

Jeffers- to (...maybe...) prevent this problem from happening in the future, right click on config.cfg, go to properties and make sure "read only" is checked.
