Need valid Source_Shared_Securom.gcf

Can someone send me the file "Source_Shared_Securom.gcf"? The file seems to be corrupt on my CD-ROM. Also counterstrike_source_base_content.gcf throws an occasional error. I just want to play my game! :-(

I get the error:

"Installer Information

Error 1334. The Source_Shared_Securom.gcf Cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet file 'hl24.cab'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package."

Verify my cache? Temp files?

I went as far as emptiying all temp files a folders, copied all the CD files onto my PC into C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam. It didn't give me a counterstrike_source_base_content.gcf error this way, but it still says Source_Shared_Securom.gcf is not found.

is it when installing? if it is, install 'everything', cuz i had similar when trying to install HL2 without CSS. dont ask why it is

downlaod steam

enter jsut ur login that bound to your hl2 cdkey and then tell it to dled the gcfs from the content servers

take a while tho quite a few gb's

He can't veify his files, he hasn't even installed it yet! My guess is that he need to check both HL2 and Counter Strike for installation.

But I have heard about people not being able ti install because of a faulty disc. Hopefully for you, this ain't the case.

Still no luck. I found Source_Shared_Securom.gcf on Bearshare. Im going to load everythingim onto my HD and run it manually. Here goes....
