Need your help

I've installed the latest 1.03 patch. When I now when I finally click on BF2 icon, there is a black screen and it crashes straight to desktop. I tried installing the latest catalyst drivers/going back to old ones, but with no luck. Its really driving me nuts! Reinstalled many times too. Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.

You might have a corrupted player profile that needs to be deleted before you reinstall. This has in many cases stopped the game from booting up.

Try that, try mucking around with resolutions, check your temperatures, test the power supply, run memtest86 on your RAM.
All i can think of right now.

I vote deleting anything bf2 related and reinstall...or check the totalbf2 forums as well.

If you're using any refresh rate forcing programs, that also prevents the game from opening unless you edit a certain video file.

I had this problem when the resolutions in my different player profiles weren't synched.

i also had this problem, turned out the disc was smudged

@J_Tweedy - Tried all that, with no luck.

@CyberPitz - Done both already.

@bam23 - Also tried that.

@bryanf445 - Cleaned it, no difference.
