Neotokyo Media in run up to Release

We haven't seen much from the Neotokyo team in a long while, but now they are bearing down on the release their mod, they've started to showcase a lot of what has been going on behind closed doors. If you like your mods well polished then this is something to keep your eye on. Some stunning screenshots below.

NEOTOKYO is nearly finished and is in the last stages before release. We will be periodically showcasing new stuff which will include screens of our finished maps, weapons, player models, music tracks, and our official NT trailer, all leading up to a release date announcement.

It reminds me of... Counterstrike with robotic nudity and lots of neon vending machines!

Seriously though, this is one of those mods which started early with fancy screenies then disappeared, its nice to see they stuck with it and are approaching a release, Source seems to be going through a boom time with mods atm, hope to see more of this sort of thing.

Quite honestly, I didn't even know they had such list there. I had known about Neotokyo and I didn't think it was "dead". I completely agree with the less-media-releases-more-work view, although sometimes you have to release something to get mappers, etc. interested.

Neotokyo looks good as always, I specially like the style of the character models.

Holy balls, Neotokyo is still alive? I emailed the devs like a year ago and was told they were aiming for spring of 08, and when that passed by without a peep I thought "okay, somebody was pulling my leg.."

I can't wait to play this when its out, I remember checking out the screenshots back in... 2005.

Very nice lookig mod. Some of the graphic work they have done (on the posters, vending machines etc) is absolutely stunning. Does look very CSS though. Will be keeping an eye on this one for sure.

Ooh, shiny. Though the logo is very distracting on the sheets at that jaunty angle tbh. If something is too close to horizontal it tends to draw the eye, better to straighten it up, or go a full 30/45 degrees, and up left to right from the left and down if on the right.
