NeoTokyo Patch Released

Team NeoTokyo have released their latest patch adding some new content and tidying up up some bugs. NeoTokyo is one of the best looking mods out there and worth a try if you haven't ever played before. You can find the entire changelist for this mod here, and a brief summary below:

• 7 New Maps
• Fixes to current maps
• Weapon balancing and fixes
• Removed knife exploit
• Gameplay improvements for squads & team mates

You can find client & server patches in the NT Downloads section, which also now includes a .fgd if you'd like to try your hand at mapping for this mod.

Gun balance: Hate.
Why?! Nerfed every gun that sucked, made every gun that didn't suck suck. Took out the m41l and changed it with an m41s (don't understand why it needs a silencer, it sounds pretty quiet enough. It's not exactly that loud.)so then if you want to anti snipe an srser, then you have to use the recon sniper. Made every single silenced weapon even stronger. The zrs shouldn't be more powerful than the zr. Also nerfed the supa7 like hell. Shoots as fast as an aa13 almost, And now almost every server lags and only play the new maps which pisses me off. I would sure appreciate it if we would play tarmac or transit in some time.

Left Leaning is something were seriously looking at, and couldn't fix for this patch for various reasons.

Actually Most SMGs ZRC and ZRL, MX silenced were buffed damage wise in order to compete with late game weapons.

Took out the m41l and changed it with an m41s (don't understand why it needs a silencer, it sounds pretty quiet enough. It's not exactly that loud.)so then if you want to anti snipe an srser, then you have to use the recon sniper.

The SRS was nerfed with a slower rate of fire and a longer zoom-in to prevent quick scoping, and Hip Firing from the SRS was also tweaked, long story short, its much easier to ambush someone with a SRS and you don't need to resort to counter-sniping tactics now.

The recons now get a Sniper Rifle after just 1 rank up, sniper players can get snipers more early now, and the recon has a new silenced M41. A discussion of the M41L change can be discussed here

Untrue, While the ZRS and MX-S was upgraded damage wise, it still does less damage and has less penetration then there non silenced counterparts, as with all silenced weapons.

The increased rate of fire for the Supa7 Buff came from countless amount of players who saw it as a useless gun, or a 1 hit kill or be killed weapon. The AA-13 still dominates NT as the best shotgun because of the faster RoF, more pellet spread, and more damage per pellet.

In short, i hope you'll play more and get a better feeling of the changes, and i would love to read your suggestions on our fourms.

Thanks for answers, but I still think the silenced weapons are more powerful than with no attachments. Or is that just lag? I figured that most of these answers would be for balance and I figured that the left lean glitch would be hard to fix,but I would say just take the supa7 a little notch down. It's a total pain when playing bullet and supports just camping with them.

Not exactly yet. There is something amusing though. Find a server which plays bullet, the train map that's small,and supports just line up with shotguns and camp. It's amusing to watch the fight.
