Empire Arcadia Inc. will gather as many gamers as they can in New York City at Bryan Park on Saturday May 5th, 2007 at 1pm. There we will protest, morn and show how real gamers play videogames peacefully and responsibly. This demonstration is to show that gamers will not take the blame of this tragic matter but we will do what we can to help put an end to terrible events like this. We reiterate and urge that all leaders of gaming communities, organizations down to the last gamer to set aside 10 hours of this day to pay respect and come together not just as gamers but as HUMAN BEINGS for peace. Bring you Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS and Playstation Portables. Bring your favorite games to link up and play with your friends. Tetris, Tekken DR, Mario Kart and more.

lol it'll be a giant wireless lan ..the sir in as a form of protest becomes far less poignant when the protestor enjoys his time sitting playing his portable

"ok lets make a barricade against the police they're breaking through our ranks with batons and water cannons!!!"

"hold on just a few more levels and I'll be right there ..<pui>click click<pui>"

all kidding aside I think it's a great idea although I'd rather they set their games aside and used their voices instead

Wonderful idea, imho. Finally people are standing up for their right to play video games and to prove that it doesn't demeanor our ability to function in society.

Peaceful protest? or the LARGEST, MOST VIOLENT MASSACRE EVER ON U.S. SOIL...potentially...

I'd go, if it were anywhere near me. My DS hasn't gotten a lot of use, seeing as I have no games for it.

A year too late; I was in New York this time last year :(

I'd have gone

A few hours into this we will hear about riots over someone using hacks in CS or being power leveled in WOW.

Well, I'd love to, but a flight to New York costs ?200 on average, and I don't have such monies at the moment. D:

Wouldnt mock nerds or people smarter than you, youll inevitably end up working for one.

We'll see how this pans out. -_-

When our nerds protest, they do it online. They can crash major servers like Yahoo, and even govermental ones.

Nerds generally don't have the social skills or emotional intelligence to manage people.

So....a 10 hour LAN party

WHY DO THEY ALWAYS MAKE THE GAMING COMMUNITY LOOK SO ****ING STUPID?!

This is my idea, except...not....cool.

This is just creepy.

They'll probably start a huge fight over who has the highest WoW lever. I smell death in the air. If you're in NYC, get out of there while you still can.

I know what will happen

fanboy wars!

xboxfanboy: dude,halo ruelz!
psfanboy: no resistance ruelz and yo suxz!
pcfanboy: shut up noobz,pc ruelz all now excuse me while I conect the wi fi on my laptotp and set it on 1990x1600,yes I know your noobiz brains cant understand that "casuals" ha ha
nintendo fanboy: nintendo wiiiiiii!

and hell is going to break loose

Because the majority are.

I refer you to the steam forums.

rofl. We're the second largest Half-Life community behind Steampowered, and amusingly enough, none of us minds that because they get 94% of the shitheads, the ones we have here are just spillover :D

Edit: Ignore. I read the first post incorrectly. Sorry.
