Has anyone else noticed Netflix's website is terribly slow? or is it just me? when I try to browse it it comes to a halt while trying to load images, so i close my browser and restart it and my browser is slow for about 30 sec after that then it goes right back to being quick as always until i browse netflix again? tested this on Opera and IE, don't use firefox. anyone else have this?

Yeah, it's always been slow.

But what do you expect? They have a shitload of movies and stuff.
Lots of things to load.

yeah well as slow as it used to be it's become much slower for me now, makes me want to yell, "Gorramit! What's wrong with this gorramn crate...i mean website."

What's "Netflix"?

are you not from around? are you truly from Sweden or does your profile just say that? If so, Netflix is a company that rents DVD's through their website distributing them through the US Postal Service. You keep the movie as long as you want and return without fear of late fees.

PS - rebooting my computer did the trick however all of my bookmarks in Opera have been lost..i was wondering if anyone knows a way to recover them?

Yes, I'm truly from Sweden.

Sounds like a good thing, I doubt I will ever use it, though.

On paper, yes, it does... However, I've tried them as well as another similar service called Greencine, and the turnaround time on movies is horrible. Plus, it generally doesn't work very well with human nature. My wife and I ended up getting movies and hanging on to them for weeks because we didn't feel like watching them, and then just returning them. We also ended up spending even more money going to an actual video store when we wanted movies on a whim. We ended up canceling after 2 months or so.

For those of you in the US, I highly recommend doing Hollywood Video's MVP program. For like $15 a month, you can rent as many non-new release movies you want, 3 at a time. My wife and I rent 3 a week, which means it basically pays for itself 2 or 3 times over.

I doubt I will ever use it, though.
Well yeah, I don't think the USPS delivers to Sweden ;)
