It actually looks a lot like the Point of Existence mod. This is definitely from an alpha build. They need to polish this a lot more.
 
Great vid. Cant wait for this game. Only thing i noticed was when a guy gets shot he flys like 10 feet in the air lol. Yes i know its a beta, still early to bash a game :p

I'm thinking the sounds are placeholders.

I'm pretty sure the final build will sound much better.
 
when it comes to having fun BF2 > ALL, it will be like old times again. :bounce:

The video was cool, but the sound wasn't "beefy" enough imo. Also, WTH are the explosion sounds?! But I really liked the gun sounds.

Animations are awesome, as are the vehicles imo, yet they somehow mysteriously dissapear when blown up?. Sky and water looks really cool. Parachutes look good :) and the lightning works really well. Helis look cool too. I hope they will allow you to walk inside them ala Joint Ops. But I just wonder, are there airplanes in BF2?

It can't be BF without some airplanes. ;)
 
Looks very nice. There are some big flaws but they are mostly stuff that has yet to be developed (Such as the middle tires on vehicles not turning, some other tweaks that will undoubtedly be changed as developement continues, etc)

The thing I like most is that it is somewhat 'more' realistic, yet it keeps that same Battlefield arcadey feel (at least by the looks of it)
 
From what I've been reading about the game it seems like a lot of the new stuff (command and squad structure) isn't going to be immedietly visible, but should change it up when you're actual playing.

Now that's what I call a fast download!

Game looks very promising, although there's still a lot of fine tuning to do.
 
I was pleasently surprised at how well that build seems to run. Nice a smooth.
A few bug fixes, and some finishing on the sound and its probably there. (I have to wonder if the sound just didn't pick up correctly, a few other videos have better sound in them.)

A couple of set-pieces, some filmed from different angles. They're all from the same level, it seems, so you don't see that much. Basically there's an anti-air tank, a Bradley, an Apache, the Russian counterpart of an Apache, a buggy, a HUMVEE, and that's basically it. The movie doesn't show the destructible environment, nor does it show how the commander-function works. And like other people wrote: this is still from an alpha build, so the sounds and some animations aren't finished yet. You should download it tho. It's worth it.
 
From watching the video....I must say BF2 has really good graphics.

Like up to par with HL2. :D
 
Thats what we've been hearing from the people who have hands-on time, and its certainly encouraging.
I'm not sure if I expect quite that level of detail (it is a large-scale online game after all), but its good to see its still more than visually relevant.
 
To tell the truth I was never much of a BF fan.

Reasons:
A.)Didn't like the "feel" of it.
B.)Controls seemed a little slow compared to say CS or SOF 2.For instance firing your weapon and controlling it felt...awkward I guess.
 
Nah its not, im just using terms I use during cs / msn / whatever.
