I played dead rising over at a friends house and have been keeping an eye on gears of war, So on saturday I bought a 360. I bought dead rising and completed it, and preordered gears of war.

I rented a few games, that were intresting but pretty boring for the most part.I already have Oblivion, Cod 2, and just cause for PC.

I am feeling pretty jipped at this point, are there any good games for 360 I have missed. Also I played criminal origins on pc, and wasnt very happy with it. SC: double agent for PC should come in tommorow.

Maybe Im wrong but so far it seems 85% of the good games are being released for the pc aswell.

So far I have madden 07, Fight Night Round 3, G.R.A.W, Tiger Woods 07 and Project Gotham Racing 3. Also I have ncaa 07 football but it sucks compared to current gen versions so I can't recommend it. That is plenty for me for now and there are a ton of games coming out before the holiday's to look forward to.

Quite a few of the better games are either out, or coming out, on the pc too. Many of them are ones i'd rather play on a big screen with a pad (Bioshock, Alan Wake, PES6, Splinter Cell, Assassins Creed, Rainbow Six etc)

If you're after something right now to play you could do much worse than GRAW, Saints Row (I now prefer this to any of the GTA series), Condemned, and Table Tennis (good in multiplayer and cheap). Good, cheap games that should tide you over.

Then there's Lost Planet, Mass Effect, Resident Evil 5, GTA 4 and plenty of others (Stranglehold is looking tasty), but these aren't out for a while. I could name quite a few more, but this'll become another list thread.

I'm a pretty big console fan, plan on getting them all, and the 360 is still the one that looks the most promising to me - especially if your pc isn't cutting edge and/or you have a big HD screen.

Part of the blame falls on you for not doing your homework before you bought it, but regardless, I think Warbie named all the major releases coming in the future.

I'm curious though, how cheap is Table Tennis exactly (I figured they charged normal price for it)?

Oh and not cool XIII *cough* avatar *cough* :p

I think R*'s Table Tennis is in the 40 dollar range? Damn good game.

Table Tennis is like 30-40, yea.

I heard Test Drive Unlimited was good (also 40 bucks).

I have FN3, PGR3, CoD2, Madden07, Condemned, Oblivion, PDZ, and the countless number of Arcade games I buy.

The best 2nd-gen Xbox360 games are coming out within the next few months :) You got the 360 at just the right time!!! While the other consoles still have to battle with 1st-gen games, X360 already is on it's 2nd round of games.

Warbie I have a projector and a 120 inch white screen that is hd compatible. My Pc looks just as good if not better then the 360, and I have a pad that works perfect for any game. It must have been a long time since you have tried to use pads on a pc.

Im stilll pretty happy to have the 360 for future titles, just wanted to make sure I wasnt missing out on anything current. The only dissapointment I am having with the actuall system is streaming video, which microsoft could have added the feature very easily. Its not a big deal though since I have the pc connected to the projector aswel.

Basically +1 to all the games mentioned.

I paid $45 AU for Table Tennis, oh and you can[/i] stream video. :O

Nice - i'm saving for a projector at the moment. Do you find games look as detailed as on a lcd/plasma HD sets?

I've used pads on pc games quite a few times, and sometimes it's ok. The problem is most games aren't designed with a pad in mind, which is why they don't work as well. It's not a case of having a pad that's good enough for any game, it's the other way around - take Halo on the pc. Play it with a Xbox pad and it is still nothing like as good as Halo on the Xbox.

There is just not that much that is out right now that seriously warrants purchase of a 360 imho, unless your PC can't run games like Oblivion and GRAW up to snuff. That said, the games that will likely come out in 2007 and beyond will kick some serious ass, especially if they can match uber-pc performance as some devs have stated that they will. Personally, I am waiting for the first price drop. By then, hopefully some of the "must-have" titles will have dropped. I also think that Gears of War will be beautiful to watch, but short on the gameplay unfortunately, but hopefully I will be wrong. That forest level looked bitchin'!!!

Saint's Row, Gears of War. Also got mine and Dead Rising Saturday. Bitchin' game.

Just heard via MajorNelson that Lumines Live is getting released tomorrow, so if you are into that, get it! ;)
