hey guys, i know last time i never finished my last GT3, but i started over a few weeks ago, and am VERY pleased with what i have so far. anywho, i pretty much just finished the headlights (which just about completes the front of the car, actually) tonight. so, here ya' go!

PS - made in lightwave 3d 8.0 (approximately 4-5 weeks of work, off and on)

super cool... I'm just starting to dabble in 3d and so this is way cooler than anything i could do. good work!
 
The modeling looks nice but the shaders on the body give away the CG look. Try turning down diffuse amount a tad bit, and use some anisotropic specularity (through the BRDF shader) to get the paint with metallic paint look. And slightly blur the reflections. Also the chrome parts of the headlights seem a bit...unchromish... need some things to reflect.

Nice wires too, looks pretty clean, looks like you used splines?
 
Yea... umm, the reason that the paint doesn't look very real is because I spent 2 minutes on it. It's just a rough render, no worries; and the chrome comes much later. Just wanted to show you guys what they looked like.

Yepp, I used splines ^__^.

very cool, and not overly unrealistically reflective too. Keep it up.
