New Achievements (Possibly) Beginning Next Week

In a recent post on the Steam Forums, Valve has confirmed that all our favorite Source games (Half-Life 2, Episode One, DoD:S, CS:S) will soon be getting the achievement treatment.

Valve also stated that they plan to roll out more achievements for Team Fortress 2, starting with a 'pack' of medic achievements "in the next week or so."

Sounds good. As soon as the page loads up I'll find out if they have already listed what they have instore for HL2 and ep1
 
Pretty awesome. Could make for some replaying for HL2.
 
Indeed. My end goal has always been to play through all of HL2 and the episodes once they were all out. This gives me extra reason to play through the older games again.
 
Huh at last weekend I replayed EP1 with only one shot on hard. What amaze me is that elevator battle was easy :D

It's been nerfed a while back, sadly. I loved that part of the game, because it was so hectic and insane.
 
Is that a possibly on the New Achievements altogether or the possibly that it may be the beginning of next week.

And why no HL2DM love? </3

I love maxing acheivements and brag about it, woohoo!

Although I see no way of getting the "With friends like these" one :(

I agree with you. There should be. Is it really so hard to upload the HDR and Model Updated maps onto the international steam servers for download. Is it?
 
Acid...I told you to wait until after the achievements were ACTUALLY released, but no....you went and imagined them lol :rolling:

Anyway, Can't wait until next week and this is now an oppurtunity to buy DoD:S, iv always wanted it but also an excuse to replay some of the best games ever made, i'd say.
 
Umm....This really feels like Valve Time to me.
 
Does that mean we get a chance at the "One Free Bullet..." Achievement, because I always wanted to get that

Too large a download to simply refer to a simple patch for any existing HL2 content I suppose. The idea is to update the Steam Content Server with the HDR version of the game, so that if you just order the Orange Box, or if you uninstall a previous version of the game, you are elegible for the HDR version for download.

Oh, and while you're at it. Complete Episode Three. And then stop sleeping. Oh, and we don't want you to breathe either. It's a waste of Valve creation time.
