I was sad that gretsch stopped making broadkasters, but the USA maple fits the bill fine too. For the music I play, this is exactly what I need. And I was just wondering why I always see younger drummers slathering everything in tape and tissues until you just get a thunk out of everything, what the hell is up with that???

I don't know a whole lot about drum equipment. But my brothers a drummer and he got a gretsch kit (Specifically for jazz type stuff) they sound great.

What type of stuff do you play?

The drums looks nice BTW :)

awesome, i'd like to try drumming one of these days.

btw is that a cat on the seat on the second pic?

Drumming is pretty kick-ass. I like watching the guy on Conan O'Brien doing his little solos as he hands back after the break. It's pretty cool watching them on my Mtv Unplugged DVD's.

My brother used to have a drum kit and took lessons, but he lost interest and ended up selling them when I was pretty young. I remember him having to pile some old clothes into the larger drum (you can tell how much I know about drums when I call it the "larger drum.") to get a different sound or something.

I play a lot of jazz, but pretty much play everything, never know what the next gig will bring.
Yes, that is a cat in the second pic....he likes drums too. I've been playing for a long time now and its awesome being able to make a living just playing drums all day...
