Not sure about a lan but DICE has changed the max player amount from 100+ to 64 players now....well online that is i dont know about lan.

Yeah, that sort of limit is really only subject to your sanity and connection speed. With a LAN I'm fairly certain you could get some, uh, LARGE matches going.

*sniff* I wish my local internet cafe hadn't shut down Every friday me, sulkdodds and loads of other gamers that you don't know poured into that place and we had such fun, running around in BF1942, bombing each other to hell... Playing giant matches of CS with gravity set to 0... Having huge games of C+C generals with no rush for an hour or so...

If we had BF2 back then, friday evenings would have been like one long orgasm.

100+ people.. Alot of them were part of the 101's clan.

Just ran through a street, boom huge pieces of ground fly up all over me. I run twords a church and get up on the highest peak with my sniper.

100+ player matches would be cool and crazy. Reminds me of the good 'ol days of Tribes 2 games. 150+ players going at it....so fun.

Very cool video. I love the explosions and fluid animations.

EDIT: The air combat video and interview video are both pretty sweet too. This is probably my #1 anticipated game along with Conker: Live and Reloaded.

It's made by a company that -right now- makes EA's life miserable by resisting take-over. That should count for something .....

Nice vid btw. One thing that needs to be tweeked tho is the distances dead bodies travel when being blown up. They're hurled away 20 to 30 meters away now. Bit too much.

I didn't see any "lag," although theres an animation skip between being shot and hurled in the air right now, but I imagine thats just a work-in-progress thing.
You have to remember that for some reason 90% of the time the person playing in the vid sucks.

hmm... looks very very good. More excited about this than I was about Battlefield 1942 before it came out, looks like this engine doesn't have really crappy infantry combat like that one did.

That would actually be good, for me that is. Coz then BF2 would arrive just after my new rig. I want to play it in all its glory and I wouldn't be able to with my current system.

this would be good for me too, since im upgrading my AOL broadband to 1mb next week, and i had a newsletter of AOL today saying that in june 2005 AOL are boostine everyones broadband acount

for example...
570k'ers will go to 1mb'ers

1mb'ers will then have 2mb.

2mb in june for bf2 hopefully then
