New CoD2 screens ...first look at european campaign?

whoa! thank ye.... this game is gonna rock, I'm just hoping this landing rivals the D-Day landing from MOH:AA and from the preview i read it does, I can't wait to play this
 
I doubt it ..although that cliff looks like what the canadians had to face on sword beach
 
Awesome shots. I saw this running on the Xbox 360 at E3. It looked stunning. Some spots looked fantastic and other spots looked pretty plain.

I think I saw the same footage ...although in the video the xbox guy said it was a xbox360 exclusive ...hopefully he doesnt know what he's talking about
 
Nice, but I think the pic on the beach next to the cliff has to many shiny things in it like the army guy's pants.

There's actually a 13 minute video of this mission on codfiles.com that's been there for a while, but it's cruddy resolution didn't do the game justice after seeing these screens :)

They look pretty cool, but i dont know about the whole climbing up the rope thing?

The african stuff looks very impressive though.

Fair enough, the graphics are nice and all, but deep down we all know it'll have the shitty scripted gameplay of CoD1 and the MoH series.
 
the wet clothes effect looks very good

cuz is suposed tha the clothes are wet right?

Yea graphics are nice but I totally found CoD boring, I regret buying that at the time. Seemed to have a 2 hour lifespan too. Perhaps if CoD wasn't made and this was the first game, then I would probably be excited over this too lol.


Edit: I'm not going to answer that, because all games (well, most) have to have some sort of element of script in them otherwise you wont know wtf to do. CoD if I remember was like one large tutorial so to speak, it was practically holding your hand along the way. Other games such as Far Cry had more like checkpoints, they left you to do your own stuff and once you found yourself there. However, I guess in an army game it wouldn't be considered right to have a free-roaming style game.

I am not too bad with the script concept myself, I just think this will be a crappy game. And thats my opinion :D
 
do you know if they were gonna go with ragdoll phyisics with COD2?
i heard they were leaning towards the no side...........
no ragdolls=less fun factor

these screens ARE kickass!
Will defiantly be picking this game up in stores!!!!!! ( or on Bit Torrent :O )
prolly will be buying it cus i want the box lol........... :|

Every magazine I have read says that CoD2 is a PC title, but its being developed for the 360 as well(since its pretty similar to a PC anyway). I would not be surprised to see it on PS3 next year either. Lots of $$$ to be made...

Yes, the game was as shallow as a puddle in summer.

But it was never meant to be anything more than a rollercoaster of quick-fix thrills. I imagine CoD2 will be the same.

The screens look impressive, but there is one thing that i hope to see in a game someday. Ground that isn't sheetmetal flat and smooth. As in the ground has bumbs and shallows in it. Not just the clipping textured hedgerows that all WWII games have.
 
looks pretty, but those rez's are probably a slideshow on most if not all computers. COD was cool, but i just am a little tired of ww2 games. maybe i'm just tired of the european campaigns. bring on other theaters. the african theater screens of COD2 looks cool. I just don't want to bother with another normandy invasion.
