Well after a frustrating time last night , trying to figure out how to get my computer to boot up with all this new hardware, I finally decided to re-format the HDD. I believe that it may of been driver issues (either from my old mobo, or my GPU) that cause my computer to reboot every time it attempted to load windows.

You can see the current specs in the sig below.

I used PCWizard to benchmark the system. Bear in mind that the Graphics card and the HDD are only temporary. Next month will come the 8800GTS/X, SATA 500GB and another stick of 1GB in dual channel with the one already in the system.

Processor Global performance: 13505
Cache Global performance: 11521
Memory performance: 2622
Graphics performance: 240
HDD performance: 69?

Avarage Performance: 2795.70

Glad to hear you got everything in working order:) I myself had some issues with the new pc i just got and it's been restart free for a few weeks now. If you have the money get the GTX8800 its freakin awsome.

I'm downloading 3Dmark06 now, but it won't be good.

Seriously the card can't even run Oblivion over 2FPS, whereas the 6600 that I did have could run it between 10FPS-20FPS outdoors.

anyone got a link to d/l 3dmark06? i wanna give it a run since i switched from an ati x1900 gt to a nvidia 7950 gt

better performance with the 7950, it's comparable to a 1900 XT. if you check out reviews that 7950 will have about 10 or so frames less than a 7900 GTX

For that money you could've better gotten the x1950xt, only 2-5% slower than the x1950xtx. But why in heck would you get that upgrade? Big waste of money :|

i only paid $120 bucks for the 7950 so i dont care lol, i got a score of 4983 in 3dmark06, not so good

hmmm....your gonna go crazy waiting for that 8800 after living with a 7300LE for a month :)
