I'm thinking that mine, after a good five years of serving me well, is borked for good. So I'm looking at getting a somewhat cheap replacement. I'm not looking for a great gaming rig, as I barely play anything anymore.
I was looking at a Dell Inspiron 531s (linkage). Looks pretty good for $400, at least to me. I've never been a big fan of Dell, but I'm pretty desparate. Probably bump up to a 19" monitor for $20, but that's about it.
Any thoughts? I've heard things about not having standard PCI slots. It would bug me if I had to buy a new wireless card. And I'd like to move my current video card and 250 GB hard drive over, but I don't know if the video card will fit. Stupid slim computer..
