ive made a torrent of the 6minute long boomtown video. i think ive only seen this video in one other mirror, and i dont think many people know about it. its 6mins long and definatly worth a watch! the video is in .avi format and is compressed in .rar

since im the only one seeding and my connection isnt very fast, it will be slow to start with but as soon as i upload it atleast once over, other people will start seeding and it will pick up, so dont worry!

guys i want to emphasise again that its gonna take a while for me to seed cos of my slow connection, but just leave it going in the background, itll get done eventually lol

EDIT: can i use that 'external announce' button to announce it on your tracker? im not 100% sure how that works, but can i run it on your tracker aswell, without making a seperate torrent file?
 
ive zipped it into a .rar file (using the best compression) so if your file isnt exactly the same, then you will just download it a second time instead of uploading it to other people.

Question fellas, i dont normally use torrent, is it normal for your dl speed to slow down to like 5 kb/s? I went up close to 60, but since it has gone way down, will it go back up or do I need to restart the dl?
 
apart from me, the highest percent complete is only about 7%, so once you have downloaded that 7% (which will be fast cos about 8 people have it) then it will slow down, because im the only one that has it.

so as i said, just be patient, you will get it eventually :p
 
On my end, it says there isn't even one whole copy of it being shared. Odd.
 
Ya I am at the office so I have work to do while I wait heh. Sucks though, I am on a business dsl line, so my upload was actually faster than my dl speed.
 
well im the only one with the complete copy - and it even says that to me!!!
 
i'm on a 1mb home line with uploads 256k (actual about 50K) so i'm uploading nice n steady. I don't know what it is to 'seed' but i am assuming by my having an upload speed I must be helping get this thing spread to us all?
 
im seeding at about 12kb/s so it will take about 5hours in total until theres 'lots of seeds'. just be patient guys, do something else - maybe even go outside! :O

coming up to the 10% mark now.

hey kevin, do you think it will speed things up if you upload to only one person?
I'm thinking if you upload to only one person it will be faster for him and thus we will have 2 sseeds faster .. ?
 
the minimum you can set it to is 4 people. the creator has probably done alot of research into this, and i agree, more people is better, although it extremely hard to describe, youll just have to trust me :p

im uploading to 5 people, which i think is the fastest way, then there are 5 people that are seeding what i have just given them, so everyone gets it faster. if there was only 1 person, then he would have to upload that data to every other single person ont he torrent. trust me, this way is the fastest :p

i turned it off to play some cs and now i turn it back on and get 'rejected by tracker'

oh dear :/ on the tracker website it says "Disregard the error message that says "This torrent is not authorized by the tracker" or some such. Once it's been added to the database, it will automatically start working, so just leave the window up."

so try leaving the window up for 10mins, see if it connects. i also get the same message, but i am ALREADY connected, so maybe it only stops new connections, and not already made connections. i dont know much about trackers. can someone else help? ive submitted the torrent to the tracker and it was working perfectly for over an hour, so i dont know why its suddenly stopped.

UPDATE: OOOO!!! 5 mins ago there were only 4 peers, now there are 5, so someone must have connected successfully!! guys, just keep it open for 20mins, it will connect despite the error message.
 
ffs u guys have the attention span of little bread crumbs. there are now only 3peers! the torrents only been up for a couple of hours! where are u all going :(

EDIT: anyone know a DECENT tracker that wont **** up after an hour, stupid thing, would have been fine otherwise. i know ive done everything 100% correct, it should be working fine. looks like this torrents gonna be abandoned if people dont start reconnecting...

EDIT2: someone just reconnected who had a large chunk of the data, so all is not lost :) - 71% seeded

EDIT3: just had an idea - how about create a torrent on a DECENT tracker of the ORIGINAL .avi file, then people who already have it can help seed. i know of 3 people including myself that already have it, thats a good start.
 
ive been connected but idle (0 kbs) for a while now. I'm not too concerned since I am at work, but I do hope it finishes sometime before I go home for the weekend.
 
okay, im officially abandoning this torrent now. i just disconnected to change the ports i was using and now the tracker wont let me reconnect. some trackers are just shit. so sorry guys, nothing i can do about it. someone else create a torrent for the .avi file not zipped) then more people will be able to seed.

again, so sorry about this, but the tracker is just a piece of shit and has just stopped working. thanks alot filerush for wasting so much time of so many people.

Mine is only at 70 percent. If anyone has the original AVI and are willing to send it to me through IRC, I can seed it on my tracker.
 
ghost, lets talk about it on irc, or msn, cos ive got the original avi, although it will take me like 5 hours to send :( but maybe i could start another torrent on your tracker, and hopefully your tracker wont **** up after an hour?

also, im sure other people have the .avi aswell, so they could also seed.

Can someone just host this? I am at work and cannot install BitTornado. FTP sure would be swell :)
 
I,d love to help you guys to share it, since i can uplaod at 100k/sec, but i got an error when I try to downlaod it got bad file info :flame:
