Unfortunately, just judging by the tone this interview is presented, it seems that Doom 3 may be out sometime aroung August. Just my two cents.

To the game fans: I know many people are chomping at the bit to play DOOM 3 and we've appreciated everyone's patience. We're all working our asses off right now to get the PC game into your hands just as soon as we can and then follow-up with the Xbox version reasonably soon thereafter. Hell will be hotter than ever when DOOM 3 ships this summer!

Valve have said that about HL2 for ages, unfortunately it means nothing to us.
they both say this summer, and it usually means later rather than sooner with Developers.

Cool. I hope Doom3 comes out in late summer. I want Doom 3 and HL2 to be perfect games.

Excellent - im really looking forward to both games....can't really seem to fathom why ppl still put them up against eachother in various polls.

We should be thankfull that this summer will be chock full of awesome games.

HomeLAN - Will Doom 3 be playable in PC and Xbox form at this August’s QuakeCon?


Todd Hollenshead - The PC game will be released this summer, but I don't know if the release will be before or after QuakeCon. I expect that we will work with Activision to have the Xbox version playable there, even if it's basically the same part of the game that was playable on the floor at E3.

You would suppose he would know that if it was really coming in June right?

The game sounds great, hopefully it's really scary
