Does anyone have any idea on how much they will cost? I'd rather wait for the 512MB versions so I have time to see which card is better (6800 or x800). I'm just not sure how much they will cost.

The 512 cards will probably cost you two arms and a leg.

There really is no point in buying cards with 512mb memory at this stage. All they'll be useful for is to play Doom 3 (that's right, one single game) at Ultra settings - it even says in the .plan that high quality is 'very very close' to Ultra quality, it doesn't really justify paying a huge expense for something you could get at nearly the same quality with a much cheaper 256mb card. It'll take a good while for games to fully utilize 256mb memory on current cards.

128mb ram on video card and we are talking medium settings.. wow.. :upstare:

With my 9600 256mb Medium should run nicely.

I wish they'd release screens comparing all the settings so we can know what to expect.
