ps. if you are planning on playing a hot new game in the next few days, I really recommend you use these drivers. Of course they only work on ATI cards...

my game actually runs smoothly now on a 9600pro

its soo awesome, just in time for HL 2

Hmm no, made no difference, infact, so far my best was on the 4.10s. I had 75 with them, and now only 65 with the 4.11s and 4.12s.

I got a 20-50 frame increase, I'm inpressed. I can finally go High model and texture detail with 2x aa and af! woohoo! now im back down to 50

no fps increase but FPS seems to hold more steady at around 30 for me rather than jumping around.

it says radeon 9500 or higher i think...does that mean the new drivers won't effect my 9100?

-edit- oh, i think that it says it resolves punkbuster problems occuring on 9500's or higher, nvm then.

The 4.12 betas didn't fix these fscked-up textures:

Especially prevalent in Dust and Italy, IIRC (I'm in Linux and can't check ATM).

I got about a 5fps increase in the stress test, and was quite happy with the 100fps I got with everything on high and 4xAA. it only goes down to 95 with 6xAA (again a slight increase with the new driver).

I know this isn't exactly what Half life 2 will look like, but I think I might have fun on Tuesday,
