New Elder Scrolls: Oblivion interview at gamespot.

This game might just sell the 360 to me, but I will wait to hear about the nintendo revolution first.

I'm definitely getting a 360.

For three games basically:

Oblivion
Gears of War
Halo 3

What about Alan Wake? That looks pretty cool.

Im really hyped about this game :D more so than any other at the moment.
The interview really isn't great though! lol

It is. If it wasn't, I'd personally suicide bomb Bethesda's corporate headquarters. This game is going to be awsome.

I'm as excited, if not more excited, about this than I was about Half Life 2. /blasphemy

Never played the morrowind series but i hear its good. Might look into it.

So...why the hell would you get this for the 360 if you have a decent computer?

Hmm.....good point, lol.

I'm thinking it will run better on a 360, than my PC though.

Indeed, PC version all the way! The mods itself will be worth buying this game for.

That is why I always buy PC versions when available.... Mods!!! I hear Morrowind3 has a ton of mods, which makes the game rock hardcore.

Morrowind + it's few hundred thousand mods... = Wowzers....something can be this good, and still be singleplayer????

I can never get the mods to work properly :/ or find really decent enough ones so im all default :(

You can download daggerfall for free now from bethesda official site, but you would need dosbox to run it (I think they have a link for that).

But to make a comparison between the different gameplay elements and technologies, buy morrowind and oblivion at the same time

Buy oblivion for the pc, i forget where i heard it, (a Tom Howard interview) but if you can play morrowind set to the best graphics then you can play oblivion with no problems, + THERE ARE MODS FOR THE PC VERSION!!!!

I somehow doubt that :|

daggerfall
You mean Arena, Daggerfall was the second one which I don't believe is on Bethesda's site.

I somehow doubt that
The specs may be close actually..
It's how Morrowind Renders. It renders everything. Stuff you can't even see. This causes a major slowdown.
I run it on a:
Amd Athlon 2400+
512megs of ram
9600XT
It can be quite choppy(mainly in cities) at times.

Oblivion's engine isn't gay like Morrowinds. What will really kill the game is the Shadowing and Lighting, the polygon rates themselves don't look overkill(Maybe the kick ass Trees).

I've prepared my hardware almost.

I'll have
AMD64 3000+
1024Mb Ram (I'll likely buy Corsair Ram later on in the year)
GeForce 6600GT (sometime this week, currently have Radeon9800SE)
