I've had enough screenshots to completely wet my appetite for this game, it's had a good build up and the screenies seem to get better. Looks like Far Cry mixed with Doom 3 and since I enjoyed both games heavily I will no doubt be getting this game. Drool at that last pic with the bullet streams

really nice ..the flying debris looks great ...but why is it soooo dark? why dosent the player turn the freakin light switch on? ..why would you want to fight in the dark when you can just turn on the light!?! ok I understand that darkness=scary ..but that's just cheap ..like on the x-files when they ran into a dark room and I'd yell "turn on the freakin light Mulder there's a chupacabra in the closet!!"
Stern to developers: I want light!!! I want to see the expression on the enemy's face when I blow him away with a shotgun at close range!! I want to be able to throw my gernades with pinpoint accuracy killing as many baddies with one shot (gotta economize ..apparently there's a shortage of gernade vendors in video games)

Gameplay looks like it'll have just huge gunfights with debris and blood flying everywhere in slow-mo....in other words...awesome.
I don't think the Doom 3 comparison is very accurate though. Sure they are both supposed to be scary and have nice graphics but that's as far as it goes if you ask me.
FEAR looks like it'll actually have some kind of random AI as opposed to Doom 3's AI that made every monster behave exactly like any other monster in its type. That made for horrible gunfights and lame gameplay overall. Oh no, these monsters are running at me, I had better wait 'till they get close so I can take them out in one shotgun blast. *BLAM* Next! Wow, good thing I'm such an amazing strategist that I could come up with a fail-proof plan that will get me through the entire game.

I assume it will go to the next gen consoles, in the same way gta comes to the pc All in good time...
I dont think i'l be picking this up, might try out a demo though... but im not a fan of scary games so, i'll give this a miss.
The guns look abit sucky, i mean, abit plain. :|

I think I'm in with the unimpressed crowd.
I really would like to be hyped for this game, but there's something about the graphics that irks me. Everything just looks too perfect, like that old CG cartoon Reboot. Like I don't see much (or any) ambient light, or even the slightest scuff on the myriad polished surfaces. Even outside, or underground, there's no dust or dirt.
I think it's because of all the particle effects. With all the dust and smoke and chunks of plaster flying around, I just expect people's uniforms would get dusty. But everything looks shiney and picture-perfect instead.
Without all the particle effects and bullethole decals, it looks like the entire facility, and everything in it, should have a new-car smell.
It might look more convincing in motion, but I dunno.

the game looks really sweet and is a must buy for me, although the gun models look a bite shite
