New F.E.A.R Trailer demo

Sorry if this has been posted before. But this video makes the game look very promising, even on such low quality video. Anyway the game is called F.E.A.R (First Encounter Assault and Recon) and its dibbed as "Half-Life meets The Ring".

Its a long video goes for about 6 or 7 minutes. The action scene's are great and intense, the graphics look pretty good but its hard to say from the quality of the video.

I'll definately buy this game, it looks both fun and creepy. So its bound to be another quality product from the Monolith team

Just a sidenote while getting that file, did you see the preview for that game Shadow Ops? Looks pretty cool.

Not Half-Life 2, Half-Life meets The Ring. anyway the say its that because the game has a heavily inspired anime horror theme to it. If you notice in the trailer, a silhoutte of a little guy walks past a window in one of the scene's

Oh yeah true that, that thing walking WAS pretty freaky. Should have been Half-Life 2 in terms of graphics and physics, plus Half-Life 2 already has what Half-Life had to offer, even greater.

well, the graphics look nice and actions are intensive, i will probably give it a try. But the plot doesn't seem to be original, it looks to me like another "red faction 2 type" game. I start feeling the importance of the plot ever since i have saw the hl2 e3 2004 video where at the beginning we play as gordon walking through the train station and being forced to proceed to a room(and also the part where gordon walks through few appartments and the combines act like policeman force). Although there's no fighting and no action in that part, the atmosphere is so expressing. And I feel the plot which entices me to want to know what's going on there just by watching the video, not even playing the game yet.

Looks wicked cool, but the gun moves around way too much when he walks, it should stay on screen, not wobble in and out of view.

I have a feeling the gun is a physically simulated object, thats why it moves around, but hey it might not effect your aiming though

in this game you see yourself, when you look down you see your body and feet, and when you want your guns moves with you. in real life the gun doesn't stay frozen infront of you.

What so cool about it....seemed to me a pumped up version of red faction with max payne like bullet time (it even sounds the same!), with half-life style action and call of duty like deafening when shot. I found nothing original in this game as of yet. If it has monsters to shoot and melee combat with weapons, add doom3 and halo to the list too.

Its not that ideas are original. Its that they're done well. And thats probably the most important thing of all. Lets face it, Half-Life sounds like a moronic DOOM clone on paper too.

its not the second trailer its the third trailer, so people dont get confused. but that screaming little girl was creepy.

The graphics look to be a little more realistic then Far Cry's, but the gameplay looks awesome. **** that 2nd trailer is spooooooooky. Now i can't imagine how scary Doom 3 is gonna be. This game is now up there with HL2 and Doom 3 in my books

I can understand you saying better then Far Cry but not Doom 3 and HL2. HL2 certainly looks alot more realistic and Doom 3 just looks fantastic even with the unrealistic shiny effects. FEAR is somewhere inbetween those two so its a dodgy mix, like Far Cry, but it pulls it off better.
