In earlier videos we were told we could literally go anywhere, buy anything. We were shown our new sidekick dog.

The latest videos demonstrate the other technology that will be a big thing in Fable 2, Co-op.

It gets funny half way through vid 2

Molyneaux is Female and had to endure the pain of giving birth, and his Co-op partner killed his/her husband

Depending which road this game goes down, we might have Jack Thompson on the case :bounce:

From listening to that commentary, I wouldn't be surprised that the final milestone for Peter would be to make Fable into a MMO

Jesus Christ, can Peter Molyneux's speech demonstration get anymore boring? It seems like Phil Harrison is demonstrating some PS3 game.

God damn it.

Now I don't want to wait for the PC version. I might actually have to buy a console.

Looks much better, but man, if you decide to play co-op, you'd better make damn sure your friends aren't a-holes. :sniper:

So, i want to get excited, i really really do. . .

but let's face it, Fable wasnt exactly what Petey promised. So i'm not holding my breath for this one. . . but i want to. . .

I am making it official policy to not listen to a mother-****ing word of hype he puts out.

I'm just gonna go and buy it when it comes out for PC, that's all. D:

I don't listen to what he says anymore either, but the stuff I'm seeing in action is making me excited for it.

Deadlines forced Lionhead to rush Fable out the door, which is why much that was promised was left out. This time there are no time constraints - well, according to various Molyneux interviews i've read - and there's no excuses.

I know it's trendy to bash the guy these days, but he's given us some of the best games ever made and there's always, even when things don't quite click, flashes of genius.

Seems fun but I still I'd rather they re-opened BC and completed it for the 360...

That game had SO much potential..

DAMN YOU LIONHEAD FOR POSTPONING IT INDEFINITELY, DAMN YOU!

meh I like Molyneux, he's not as annoying as some of the "star" developers who seem absolutely full of themselves ..ok molyneux is a little full of himself but his voice is sort calming/non grating

anyways the game, if they can deliver as promised, sounds awesome ...would prefer offline co-op though

QFT

Molyneux has ambitions that often exceed his ability to deliver. But I can forgive him because of his passion, and because he is one of the few developers out there who are really trying to push innovation, even if it is a diamond in the rough. He even issued a public apology when Fable was released, regarding all the cut features.

He's a victim of his own creativity. Now with Microsoft's almost limitless money and patience, along with a few lessons learned, I think he'll be able to make something truly great. I'd rather a games industry with him than without.

Looks absolutely awesome. I went in trying to contain my expectations, but after basically dictating the videos to someone on IM I couldn't hold back my giddyness. Damnit, I've been bitten by the hype bug. Honestly, if this was coming a little sooner, it probably would have shot past GTA IV as my most wanted game.

The only thing I wasn't wowed by was the combat which still seems pretty one-dimensional, but I guess that's what you get when you try to cater to button-mashers. Hopefully the contexual/environmental stuff will make a bit more interesting.

Anyway, I wonder if you can be married to more than one person? If you can buy out every house and shop in the game and become emporer of Albion, surely a little polygamist sect isn't going to ruffle any feathers. That or, I'd really like to try this one - have two families in two seperate houses, kept secret from one another. Put one in a mansion or a castle, bring them all the riches and food they desire, and generally just be a model father/husband. The other family you shove in some dingy hut in a swamp somewhere, show up once a year or so to casually berate, beat, and abuse them, then toss them scraps enough so they survive until the next visit (maybe). It'd atleast be interesting to see what this kind of split would do to the way your character develops. And if it doesn't work out, you could always just hire a friend to go and slaughter them all. :D

...

If anyone asks, gaming didn't make me do it, Peter Molyneux did.

Seconded. I never really got into Black & White, but I enjoyed Fable and I really thought the Movies was an excellent idea (making machinema accessible to everyone), even if the single player was a tad tough. The games industry would be a much poorer place without him.

I thought the very first level or two in Black and White were amazing. When you got to explore at your leisure, mess with the little people, and first found your creature. More of the same would have kicked ass. Then it went all rts and I felt more like an underpaid babysitter than a god.

Is this one going to hav enaything to do with the first game? I hope so. Tie-in, plz?

Same world several hundred years later (think 16th/17th century earth equivelent). For example Bowerstowe is supposed to be a mahoosive city rather than a small town.

I expect tie ins to the hilt.

Yah it's in the same world but at the boom of an industrial revolution. Damn. this game so so great I can't stand how great it looks.

Also what did he mean by "Everyones world will be unique" in the first video?
