New Firefox out (also blag read this)

This came out several of days ago, probably about a week or so ago. But I am loving it, anyone who hasnt tried it should.

8 was great. 9 crashes like a mofo.

It especially likes to crash when it comes up with this user survey of compatibility shit. I want to flame them to hell and back but then the survey dialogue crashes too. Worst of all, firefox runs it automatically at startup, preventing me from killing the error. I reinstalled it on a different drive and it works. I'm still trying to transfer over my favorites.

Not impressed with .9

9 is fine for me so far... didn't know it's starts at startup grr

il fix that :D (it dosnt start on startup for me) i checked msconfig :bounce:

Been using 0.9 for a week or two now and haven't noticed any major bugs. A few nice additions (It double checks whether you want to close the browser when mutliple tabs are open, just incase you click the wrong button - curses!) and the default skin is looking alot nicer IMO. I have noticed a couple niggling things but they don't occur too frequently and for what you're getting out of it it's fine with me :)

You can disable that multiple-tab confirm thing.

The only thing I want standard is the "Open in Internet Explorer" context menu addition extension to be installed by default. They FINALLY added the Copy Image extension by default, now that's all it's missing by default.

I'm a first-time firefox user but I've been finding it really useful and in many ways an improvement on internet explorer. my only complaint so far is that it tends to screw up or slow down on SSL connections and has one or two issues with encryption compatibility, so I'm left to log onto my bank statement on unsecure old Internet Explorer!

I switched back to 0.8 because 0.9 started crashing whenever I tried to use it. :x

I love the warning when you close multiple tabs, it saved me SO MUCH frustration. :E

Woot! Firefox topic == time to link an extension! I'm pimping the Tabbrowser extensions this time. Adds a ton of features, some of the more useful ones are tab restoring after a crash, the 'recent closed tabs' menu (no need for that multiple tab confirmation now, I can just reopen with this them if I closed accidentally), tab sessions and per-tab permission settings.

No crash problems with 0.9 by the way.
