New graphics card again

Just ordered an Sapphire X1800XT 512 + MSI K8N NEO4-F. What I have now is an AMD 64 3200+, X800XL, 1GB DDR400. I spent all the remaining money I had on this shit so my question is, will it be worth it or should i send it back and buy an XBOX 360 instead?

you might double your framerates in some games, but I considering the price and the fact that you already had a decent card to begin with, I wouldn't say it's worth it. save your money, because the DX10 cards are just around the corner. :naughty:

oh and that system could benefit from an extra gig of memory btw.

You're right, the X1800 is like 7 months old already and the 7900GT is'nt much better then mine. So ill cancel the order and save.

Yeah ram might help you more especially with newer games.

Yeah and the next time you upgrade you might wanna consider a faster cpu too. Right now the AMD X2 4200+ is a great choice. It's like €350 and it's good for overclocking.

Yup my plan was to go for an X2 4800+
