just got it today :D

It's normally a $600 guitar but I got it on ebay with a case and stand for $400 and it's in perfect condition.

btw, tuning a guitar with a tremolo is hard.

Yay for standard Kirk hammet Style goth fender!

Just kidding. I'd shit my pants if I got that guitar.

I've been wanting one with a Tremolo, but if you go cheap on one, then it never stays in tune..

Anyways, nice axe broski, it is however NOT sexier.

totally sexier; it's super thin, like 2" only in the thickest part and like 1/2" around the edges.

This one has a Zero Resistance tremolo in it which is supposed to be really good for staying in tune, adjusting, and being awesome in general.

Never heard of Zero Resistance.. I heard the only one to go with is an Original Floyd Rose (I hear licensed FR are shit too.. And while I'm on it Edge III as well lol).

If it ever does go out of tune easily, you should go for an OFR.

...

And no it's still not sexier.

yours is a les paul shape which is uglier D:

anyways, how's the action on your new one?

My 7 string had a pretty low action (which I had to increase a bit 'cause of problems playing high stuff) but I got used to that. This new one has a bit higher action so I'm getting used to that now.

On my new one the action is mint, 5/32'' at the highest point (from the top of the fret to the string).

My double neck's 6 string neck is amazingly bad though, I'm used to the horrid action, it's (I haven't measured) probably 1/2''.. It's just awful lol, but I can still play it!

...

And my guitar is 1000000000000 billion (yes, that number billion) times sexier.

mine's just a tad higher than that. How could you ever play with it at a half inch?

I think playing picked notes up or down a scale is the hardest to play with it right now 'cause of the higher action.

You seen my Closer to the Heart video, right? The six was 1/2'' the whole time, you can really tell on the solo, when I switch notes you can clearly hear me hitting other strings.

Also, I would adjust the springs in the back, too I hear the best configuration is like this (if yours has 5 springs, take 2 out and use 3). But then again whatever feels best, but I hear this helps keep tuning.

interesting

The ZR is different though, there are 2 main springs for the tremolo and then another 2 auxiliary ones in case a string breaks to keep the tremolo balanced. You can actually remove the 2 extra ones if you want.

This. I've owned guitars with Original Floyd Roses and licensed copies, and the licensed ones are crap. The OFR's are rock solid, I only have to tune the guitar every few days.
