But they underline everything i hate about Apple

They just label PC's as being the worst thing ever!

And i think most of the points they are raising are going to be nullified with the release of Vista tomorow!

one of the main reasons why pcs get more virii is because there are a lot more pc users than mac users so programming virii for pcs would make more sense.

as for the other stuff like restarting and compatibility i dont think i've ever faced problems like that. sure you get the BSOD once in a while but in general alot of the software and hardware out there is pc/windows compatible.
 
I have yet to see a mac that hasn't crashed or gained a virus. Either way the points about restarting, crashing and getting viruses happens to just about all technology available today, they can't be solely pinpointed to the PC.

General Electric makes missle guidance systems used to incinerate people from afar, Dow Chemical makes wmd, Haliburton makes wads of cash on the misery of others ....and you pick Apple to hate? I mean come on, they're not even marketing it to you or to any of us but rather to casual users ..it's meant to attract pc users who're tired of everything being so (seemingly) difficult to grasp ...I mean macs are so well designed that it's virtually idiot proof

Stupid. My PC hasn't crashed in I-don't-know-how-long. And I haven't gotten a virus in I-don't-know-how-much-longer.

sure you can ...I find that fanboyism is caused by one thing: "the-have-nots" ..it's the same for every system/product that has a competeing product

I mean if I purchase a ps3, I have a vested stake in it's development because I just shelled out $600 ..so of course it's going to be better than the other systems becuase I chose it ..if you listen to people who have all three systems they'll inevitably say something to the effect of "I like the ps3 because of this, I like the 360 because of that ..etc" ...same goes for pc owners ..if you bought a mac but still had a pc you'd come to the conclusion that both have their merits
 
perhaps the majority. but i for one would like to believe that we are capable of forming an unbiased opinion.

It's true, Macs have their highs, and lows..same for PCs...I just think the PC warrents more highs than the Mac. Personal preferences

Well i was never saying Mac's were shit, was having a go at the advertising portraying the Mac as the infinitely better machine when it suffers (i believe) faults of its own

After having had to use Macs in a school AND an office, I can confidently assert that "idiot proof" and "user friendly" are pointless euphemisms for "restrictive" and "irritating."

saying the OS is restrictive is redundant because that has always been the case with apple os ..but in office enviroment most people have no need to delve too deep into the OS
 
Nah I'm talking about cumbersome little things like not being able to right-click (instead you just click and hold until the required menu comes up) and oh-so-many other little things that snowball. Maybe it's because I'm not used to it, but seriously Macs sell more on style than substance.
 
I'm much faster with keyboard shortcuts than right clicking ..it's something you grow accustomed to and after time rely on ..I dont use my mouse all that much in programs like Illustrator/photoshop because the habit migrated with me when I switched to pc ..and macs do have right mouse buttons you know
 
I know they exist, but not the ones I worked with. It was a Hellish experience.
