new install problem

i own hl2 and installed it awhile ago and beat it, then uninstalled it
now i want to install it again and i go thru the installation guide until i get to the part where it says i already have directx9.0b. i click next and nothing happens. the computers not frozen because the next butten depresses when i click it, but it just stays at the menu. help plz? :angry:

nevermind i figured it out. it was because i didnt have enough free space. i had to uninstall a few programs.
