not since roe vs wade has there been such a hot topic issue


TRENTON, NJ - Things could get hairy in New Jersey this summer for women who sport revealing bikinis or a little bit less.

The painful Brazilian wax and its intimate derivatives are in danger of being stripped from salon and spa menus if a recent proposal to ban genital waxing is passed by the state's Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling.

Cherry Hill salon owner Linda Orsuto said that women would "go ballistic" if the proposal passed. She said that some women would resort to waxing themselves, visiting unlicensed salons or traveling to other states, including Pennsylvania, in a quest to remain bare down there.

Well, that's pretty stupid out of context, but it'd probably help if you quoted why they were banning it:

Jeff Lamm, a spokesman for New Jersey's Division of Consumer Affairs, said that the proposal would specifically ban genital waxing, and was prompted by complaints to the board from two women who were injured and hospitalized. One of them sued. Lamm said that the state only investigates infractions if consumers complain.

Nice to see New Jersey's priorities are in the correct order, out of all the problems that afflict a society day in day out, crime, poverty, drugs, violence, environmental pollution, the general act of keeping a modern city and its amenities in running order and inspiring some civic pride into the populace, to see them recognize the serious scourge of women without pubic hair really restores my faith in government.


No...wait, no scrap that I meant to say it utterly confirms everything I've ever thought about the petty incompetent corrupt nature of local government.

If you said it was a black person, and you wanted to test said chainmail hair purely because they're black, then yes.

I swear the officials here have nothing better to do with their time than to make dumb laws.

Other examples:
It's illegal to back out of your drive way, you're supposed to back in. (Not enforced but still a law)
A 16 year old can have sex with a 40 year old...but you can't smoke a cigarette till 19.
At one point they banned sunny side up eggs cause you could get salmonella.
It's illegal for your to pump you own gas. (Good thing I don't leave the state cause I have no clue how to do it)
Car dealerships can't open on Sunday.

Surely there's more but I can't think of anything else.

I was going to txt you and let you know the great news about your shit-hole of a state!

At least the legal age of conception is lower than Missouri.

I just thought of some more!

Our insurance is most expensive in the country. (If it's not first, it's definitely the second)
We're the second most expensive state to live in next to California.
We also are one of the highest states to live in with the lowest minimum wage. (Not that we have the lowest minimum wage but compared to the price of living it's low.)

Yeah were like one of the like 3 or 2 states that has someone pump gas for us.
 
^ And also increase the cost of gas, as the gas stations have to pay for more employees. Seriously, what's so ****ing hard about pumping gas? If you can learn how to drive you can damn well learn how to stick a pipe into a hole.
 
We have like the second lowest gas prices in the country and we have full service. Surely it can be done in other places.
 
The procedure of filling a gas tank employs billions of mexicans around the world. They are good at it.
 
yes gas attendants at every gas station = rise in the price of gas


also, I know of a few people who worked as gas attendants. always beware when not filling your own tank ..it's a simple matter to say put $5 worth of gas into someone's car, then put a stick (popsicle stick will do) on the gas nozzle so that it doesnt fully register as being closed ..so when the next customer comes up the attendant simply fills their tank and pockets the $5. So if the person asks for say $40 worth of gas he only gets $35. Do this a number of times a day and attendants can easily make $100/day extra
 
This is kind or ironic seeing how Bush is out of office now.
