New lighting in DOD:S

Hey guys, I heard they recently added a new lighting method to DODS. I play it often and have not seen any changes. Can my Radeon 9800 pro not handle the new lighting they have implimented? Thanks guys.

If you play in dx9 mode with shaders on high, you can see the new lighting, which is called phong shading.

^ How is that different from the way it was before the update? Just curious...
 
well, before the update, there was no specularity.

As you can see in-game, the helmets look more ... shiny.
 
Yeah, I noticed the helmets immediately, but are there any other changes you can see?
 
When the sun is behind a character, it now is illuminated in a different way than before. Hard to explain by words. Just switch to low shaders to see the difference ;)
