We are gearing up for our February lan party events, and we have first up our Adult lan on Friday February 9th. This is adults only, and BYOB by those 21 up is allowed. We will start at 11PM and end up at 7AM early Saturday morning. I'm sure we will be playing a variety of PC and console games, and watching some TV and movies, and maybe even getting some poker in. Cost is $20 renting out a PC, or $10 BYOC. If you can stay for the whole time you can do just normal hours.
Then we have our Texas Gaming Festival lan party Saturday the 24th from 12PM to 2AM. We will be doing a CS Source locals 5v5 double elim tourney, and a Battlefield 2142 squad based tourney likely Conquest, but perhaps Titan mode if we have enough players. We have room for 70 BYOC, and of course our 20 PCs. We will have swag and prizes as usual, which will include some hardware prizes. Stay tuned for more details on this one. Cost is $20 to rent a Tek PC, or $10 BYOC. You can also pay normal hourly rate if you can't be there all day if you are renting.
Tek Republik is a new gaming center in Austin that features 20 high end gaming PCs with AMD Opterons, and GeForce 7900GT graphics with 20 inch widescreen hidef monitors on a fiber to the premise connection that never goes down. We also have two Xbox 360s, two Playstation 3s, and two Nintendo Wiis that can be played on our 42" LCD TVs, or our HDTV projectors. We also offer console repair, as well as PC repair.
