New map soon? De_port

Another new map coming from Valve!! Does anyone remember the old 1.5 map that was also on a port? It was hardly ever used but it seems very similar to this one. Anyone have any ideas?

So it's from the 1.5... i'm a bit dissapointed. i hoped it was my idea(from the "ideas for cs maps" thread).

The new map appears to be quite a small one. They released a truly top quality </sarc> drawing of it to give an idea in the Update News on steam:

it's either gonna be good like compound, or rubbish like tides.

Its always nice to get new maps, though extremely dissapointing if they turn out like tides.... I like the look of this new one. Does anyone have an idea when it is going to be released?

There arent enough top down pictures of maps imo. Really like them to compare layouts with much more ease. The Prima guide had a lot of them. Anyway, does seem a bit small...

I don't think it's gonna be small.....oil tankers are pretty damn big and I believe those large circles are oil tanks like we have at work in the "tank farm" and they are HUGE. Can't really tell much from a sketch though but anything new is good IMO.

Compound rox, its by far the best map yet. we need more new maps like compound and port instead of keep updating the old maps everytime a new cs comes out. Im all in favour of learning new maps its part of the challenge.

I'm starting to like compound as well, especially as ct's its a nice challenge. Port is looking quite nice from the overview, doesn't look too unbalanced either

perhaps somebody was confused with oilrig ?

compound is good but after a few rounds everyone just uses a autosnipe or awp which blows significant ass

No im pretty sure the map was not oilrig. I think it was a map like de_thunder. When they did the jump from 1.5 to 1.6 they removed it.

cs beta 2-3 had a map called cs_docks but is nothing like the drawing
