Im currently on the tv in the living room.... killing my eyes. I've been looking around and im definitely goin for a flat crt. The variables are Viewsonic 21" (most likely) Mitsubushi Diamond pro 19" I also saw a good priced IBM monitor its 21 inch .24 dot pitch but is lacking support for the highest level resolution like 2048xsomething (never use it newayz) but if it doesn't support that i figure the refresh rates are probably low as hell. Im assuming that is one of the most important factors also... ANY HELP plz there's soo many variables and this is for gaming

pick the highest resolution you think you will work at and make sure the monitor runs at at least 75 Hz in the resolution.

Just because it doesn't support a high res doesn't mean the refresh rates will be bad. Really 75hz is all you need. I have a 17" monitor that supports up to 1280x1024 and it can run 1280x1024 by I think 85hz.

ok well does anyone have a 21 inch or a 19 inch? I measured out how big they would be, but I cant get the picture. I dont want higher resolutions to be that tiny and Im just wondering if a 19 inch is gonna be big... but 21 inches seems to be pretty freaking huge but that could be good i dunno... im just wondering if its worth the extra cash

There's a huge price difference between 21 and 19. Go for the 19. But make sure you're above 75 hz on those high resolutions.

ok ive been looking for like 2 hours.... ive narrowed it to a 19 inch for sure. Viewsonic g90fb (theres two diff monitors with the same name) or a p95f+b or p95f+b2. THe other brand is a NEC dp930 or fe930. Aperture grill or shadow mask???? money is not an option with these i want the best performance out of one of these 5
