New movie - unamed

yea it's at the start of transformers. It looks cool, but it's probably going to be Godzilla or something.

Interesting. Except for it's cliched stupidness. OH NO THEY'VE DESTROYED AN IMPORTANT MONUMENT! It's been done.

I don't think patriotism was the main concern and focus for the folks on the street, but the fucking head of said monument chasing them down the street.

Even if it is Godzilla, if they manage to manage to sustain that threatening atmosphere of that teaser it's gonna be awesome.

True, true. It's just that seems a standard feature of disaster movies, destroying iconic things.

oh yeah, realized its the same people who made LOST :D

Really excited for this now.

It reminded me of ghostbusters for some reason o_o

I doubt it has anything to do with that or Godzilla though...

can this unnamed film be found on IMDB? i thought i missed the title or something, guess not

I've checked the flash source from that site, there's nothing secret there.

Outside of the drag script, there's about 8 lines of code, and all that is used to just display the two pictures.

Boring.

WTF!

Talk about a surprise! How do they keep this a secret for this long?

JJ Abrams did this, the guy behind Lost, so it's probably the smoke monster :p

Awesome trailer.

And the monster is none other than PA PA PAMM!!!

lost is not that great and neither this trailer

sorry for not get asuka-ish for trailers whit tons of fast cuts and hype

On the history section of the Slusho site, it says the drink came from some "magical little whale", so you might be on to something with that whale idea.
The monster has been codenamed "the Parasite." The important thing to take from the Slusho site seem to be the little things...the "rare ingredient from the sea"; obviously the creature comes from the ocean. "The ingredient must be frozen" seems to be another clue; keep in mind when it says ingredient it may be referring to the monster itself. The fact that, when Ganu drinks the ingredient, he himself undergoes a change, and everyone who tries it changes and "becomes a small whale like Noriko." There's also the three generations of the Yoshida family: Ryouta, Noriko, and Ganu. "You can't drink just six"; six is probably a clue, because it's an odd number to pick for such a slogan.

So something is found deep in the ocean, a huge "parasite" that transforms others into smaller versions of itself.

Or it could just be Godzilla.

Could it possibly be The Thing or maybe something new inspired from that?

JJ Abrahams can SUCK A DICK.
Whatever. He tends to have great concepts, but his execution isn't always the best. Still, if you want to see an example of some of the best TV ever then watch the Lost pilot. Truly wonderful.

Besides, he's not directing this (for better or worse). Besides, the monster on Lost was one of the most frightening things ever. Until it was revealed, of course. But for the duration of the pilot episode it was fantastic.

It will not be The Thing, because there is already a remake of The Thing in the works. It's either going to be a remake or a prequel.

Also, IIRC, the Thing itself wasn't a large creature, just a mimic. Whatever the Cloverfield monster is it's HUGE, and turns people into it...or little versions of it. At least that's the impression I'm getting from the Slusho site; it could just be leading people astray with false info.

I don't think they'd redo Godzilla again and if I'm not mistaken, that movie tanked. The movie looks like a fun ride, judging from the trailer.

And besides it can't be a monster we've seen before, I refuse to believe it. If they really wanted to make Godzilla remake, why go to the trouble of shooting everything in shakey cam? Sure it lower budget, but choreography is much more restrictive.

I'm guessing, by the odd sounds the creature make, its got to be ethereal :)

Behold the DESTRUCTOR :P

"It's alright, this is New York, he's a sailor. If we find him a girl, he won't cause trouble!"

Everybody has been wondering what the actual title is. But I think that, beyond the release date, that 1-18-08 is in fact its title.

I heard from someone in the bidness that it is the sequel to Rent.

Its a good question. The sound during the earthquake and the sound on the roof sound exactly like the LOST monster...which the girl on the beach said sounded familiar, and she was from Brooklyn...

I have the trailer on my laptop, and all you see when the statue of liberty's head comes flying by is a large wall of smoke going up at least 60 stories, completely filling the street...

I dont see a whale or a parasitic creature causing an explosion that big in the middle of Manhattan...

Another weird thing...a 3rd pic has appeared on the flash website...if you look at the time stamp, its 12:48am....what the hell causes a light so bright that it washes everything out at 1am???
