The game has some beautiful 3-D graphics considering the capabilities of the DS. Yes, it is an entirely new Ninja Gaiden game also, not another remake of the Xbox version. Apparently the game is entirely stylus controlled, which if done right I think could be very effective for sword fighting. Also, you hold the DS sideways like a book where the left screen is a map and the right is for stylus control.
Personally I would have preferred a new 2d outing of the game like the originals on the NES, but I hear good things about Ninja Gaiden on Xbox and would expect the same from this one.
