new nvidia driver outdoor problem

sry about making so many threads, but im so mad!!!!!!!!!!! ok, so i finally update my driver, which stops the constant crashing of the game. so i go into the game and I LAG LIKE HELL in hl2 mostly in outdoor levels! if ichecked my fps would probably be like 10!!!!! when i had the older driver, this was never a problem so can someone please help me!!!!!!!!!

bfg geforce 6800 oc
athlon 64 3000
1gb pc3200

i run on 4xaa 8xaf i believe
reflect world
everything else high

Nvidia cards are slightly slower with anisotropic filtering... try setting it to 2x and maybe have FSAA at 2x also. I doubt that would be the root of the problem though. Have you recently upgraded video cards and not formatted your system? If so you may not have uninstalled the drivers correctly for your old card.

i remember people complaining about outdoor levels with bad fps with the new drivers. but with the old drivers and my aa and af on i didnt have problems at all!!!!!!!1 so why should i have to lower it for the new drivers? i wont. so can someone please help me, or link me to a fix? thanks.

i just installed call of duty united offensive and the fps is insanely low. can someone please tell me whats wrong! this wasnt happening with the old driver!!!!!
