New Pariah preview & screens

Digital Extremes sent out five new screenshots of Pariah, their upcoming Unreal engine powered first-person shooter. The game will hit retail worldwide on May 3, 2005 for the Xbox and the PC. In related news, a new preview of the game can be found on GameSpot.

yeah me too,looks to be a solid fps with (hopefully if the pc version is upgraded from the xbox version) good graphics and a interesting story

An upgraded ut2004-engine is certainly no bad match for a singleplayer 1st person shooter. Let's hope it doesn't get dumbed too much down by the xbox influence. Definately a game I'm wathcing, but not buying untill I know how it plays.

yeah the xbox links makes me think it'll be poor,not in hl2s class or even far cry etc,some of the enemies look shit and dumb as posts aswell

yeah but whats with the floating enemies,did you c the vids,they seem to hover towards you in the movies,hopefully its xbox roots wont be too noticeable

I'm just kinda interested in the story. It's kinda like HL in that you're not some expertly trained assassin dude.

In fact, you're basically just a doctor trying to survive.

Yes, I just hope they haven't tried to push it out the completion window before it can fly.

...man, that was a bad metaphor.

Haven't seen too much of it, and it seems to have been developed pretty damn fast, but I'll certainly give it a look once it goes gold- presuming there are a few full reviews about.

ported to pc you mean,its not being ported to the xbox,its developed for the xbox and ported to the pc,thats what i mean...have you even played thief/deus ex 2?

All I had to see was the word Xbox. Not a chance in hell I'll ever buy a PC game that was ported from a console ever again. Cross platform development is killing PC gaming. It'll only get worse.

PC games require more resources to create than console games do. Since the PC audience is smaller than the console audience that means PC gaming is in trouble. Fewer and fewer developers will spend more money creating a game that less people can play.
