I just got a new computer and one of the first things I did after updating Windows and installing Norton Security was install Half Life 2.
The wierd thing is, it never asked me for my CD key, and now it's saying the game cannot be played in offline mode. It's like it's not connecting to Steam? An Updating Steam screen comes up but the bar never moves...
When I reset it asks me to create a new account or login existing. When I choose login existing and use my old ID, it says that doesn't work because no Steam information is saved on the computer.
Appreciate any help
edit: Seems like another person had the same problem a few threads lower, no answer there either.
I think the problem lies in the fact I never got a chance to enter my cd key. Any way to fix that?
