Given the fact I didn't really find myself getting into MAG, I'm not all too excited really..

Yeah, I didn't get into MAG either, but the SOCOMs on the PS2 were better than MAG anyway so I have a lot of hope for it. Plus it will cleanse away any bad taste one might have gotten from Confrontation.

It's a good point. Modern warfare is starting to look like WWII did after way too many games sleep.

That's exactly what I was thinking. But really, what other places can we go? The future? There have been those also...but really, it's true, Modern War is the new WWII.

LOL. Its true. We need more colorful bad guys in this day and age. Better locales too. And more espionage. Ugh. The devs must have listened to the Jam WAY too much (if that's possible). Just listen to the lyrics! Its like they're mocking gamers and critics right from the start! "This is the modern world. Don't have to explain myself to you. I don't give two ****s about your review!"

Evil Genius was a great game when it came to comic book bad guys in my opinion, oh how I wish someone would give that game a proper sequel.. Shame Elixir went under.

I only ever played the first socom and i loved it. If this one has a good singleplayer im definitely getting it. Couldn't care less about MP though.

Damn I wish I could say the same, but I just couldn't get into it, I'm not quite sure why, but it just didn't captivate me in any way.

But then again, I'm not into playing large-scale FPSes on public servers, especially not given how few players(in the beta anyway) have mics.
