Now that I've seen another CS Source movie, I have a couple of more questions.

If you shoot a tire on a car, will it deflate?
If you walk through a pool of your enemy's fresh blood, will it have a couple of steps of the blood like in Grand Theft Auto 3?

1. I doubt it but easily moddable.

2. I doubt it but easily moddable.

if you trow a grenade near a car or under it will it move? or does it depends if it is a phisic or not?

The grenade one is actually quite a good question...

Well it will depend if the car is physically simulated or not which is simply up to the level designer. Like in HL2 and the traptown video. A car moves up on blowing up, but it only moves because the level designer specified it was physically simulated.

The footsteps in the blood has been around since Duke Nukem 3D, possibly even before, its not a complex feature but its not very important, although i guess it could be cool for tracking people, but may just cause more errors than is worth it.

And like i said in the other thread i doubt the grenade would move the car that much in real life, so wouldnt be worth wasting cpu on, esspeacialy seeing we would expect to see independantly moving axles and doors like we have in the SP.

I bet most cars in hl2 sp will be physically simulated. Call it a hunch :) I doubt we will be able to do much with the cars on CS:S de_dust though.

And those tires they fired at in the movies found at CSN did not brake at all. I think I saw some black hitmarks from the bullets though (why would the decals be black?).

Double post.

What I meant by tire blowing up, is if it was already on the car, and when you shoot it, it goes "PHHHhzzzzzzzzsssit" and then lowers the car to a flat tire position..

How would a real tire react when its shot, it has no wheel inside or any weight on it so its just a lump of rubber.

There should be a hole ;) Not a black decal. Keep in mind that I'm certain that there was a decal there but it didn't punch a hole in it that's for sure.

For realism. If I shoot something that should break but don't, I'll probably go: "Aaw man that's lame!". Then I'll get shot in the head by some other player. It destroys the immersion to me. But never mind that :p
