have you heard the new song? it's pretty funky. the beginning reminds me of the old batman serious, lol. i didn't really like it at first, but i think it's growing on me. hope their album is as good as the past two. what do you think?

Great song, didn't even know it was The Strokes at first, it sounded like Hot Hot Heat or something. I love the Batman theme.

Overhyped private school posers. And each album gets worse and worse. I've seen them live, after the Pixies, and all i can say is that they were as good as the pixies as John titor is from the future.

Shit, I LOVE the strokes, the first time my friend popped in Is this it, I was sold by the end of the first song.
I think they get a bad rap for attending a private school, you can't choose your upbringing and I'd rather listen to a bunch of guys with a formal education revive a dead era of music( with much success) rather then hear a semi literate rap/neopunk/mainstream artist stream out the same shit that we'll likely be hearing for years to come about drugs/guns/getting dumped/ or shot.

The song itself didn't jump out at me, but neither did 12:51, and well that song speaks for itself.

They've been listening to too much Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster. :O It's like a soft version of Psychosis Safari and I Rejection combined. I like it, it's actually fun to listen to rather than the bore fest the rest of their songs seem to be.

love the strokes, and they are amazing live. the new single is different, but i like it. i cant wait to hear the rest of the new album.
